To the Honorable Adventurers,
Your valor and service rendered unto my dear friend, the esteemed Millificent Manastorm, shall not go unrewarded. I am a man of my word, and as such, I have ensured a sum of one hundred gold pieces has been provided to each of you. By my direction, Skervin has arranged for this payment to be held in your name at the tavern you have chosen for respite.
Regrettably, pressing matters demand my departure. My fleet requires my presence, and I shall soon embark aboard the Emperor of the Waves, flagship of Lord Lando Drallion’s renowned merchant fleet. Lando, a trusted ally and close family friend from Gradstul, has graciously offered his vessel for this endeavor. In my absence, my mother, with Skervin’s ever-reliable assistance, shall oversee my affairs here in Saltmarsh.
Upon my return, it is my fervent hope to sit with you and share tales of your exploits, for I have embarked upon an adventure of my own. My quest is two-fold as whispers have reached my ears of those who may have had a hand in my late father’s tragic end. Some claim they met their doom and were swallowed by the sea, while others speak of imprisonment in an unknown dungeon or pacts struck with arcane forces. Skervin, ever the pragmatist, assures me such fairy tales are naught but the embellishments of drunkards and sailors, and he is convinced that pirate and smuggler scum are to blame.
Nevertheless, I have learned of a particular pirate, Blackbeard. Who may hold knowledge of my father’s demise. When I return, I shall call upon your courage and steel to aid me in bringing these villains to justice, as you have proven yourself cunning and strong. Together, with our swords raised high, we shall see these wretches answer for their crimes. I hope to continue to hire you to help secure the lower Keolands and keep the honor of the Solmar name.
May fortune favor you until we meet again.
Your friend and ally
A Solmor
