I’ve been digging into the history of Saltmarsh, and I came across something that might interest you. While searching through old records, I found these torn pages from a book titled The Tragedy of the Burns Family and the First Expedition to Saltmarsh. It details the early history of the land, particularly the ill-fated explorers sent from Keoland to chart these shores. The more I read, the more I see patterns— something has always drawn people to Saltmarsh, but just as often, something has driven them away.
The book also contains excerpts from older generations of the Solmar family. Their influence on Saltmarsh runs deep, spanning decades, and their choices have shaped much of what remains today. Some of their writings hint at unspoken truths—whispers of what was lost, warnings about what should have never been found. I also uncovered a family tree of the Solmars, mapping their lineage. Understanding the past might be the key to understanding what’s happening now.
I’ll keep looking, but something tells me we’re only scratching the surface. Next time we meet hopefully I will have more information.
